VPTL 2019 Innovation Grants
The Office of the Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning’s (VPTL) annual Innovation Grant Program supports and advances the priorities of schools and departments by giving Stanford faculty and instructional teams the opportunity to explore new directions in course development and innovative ways to engage and supports students. Applicants are encouraged to think broadly and creatively about projects that reimagine and explore what is possible in teaching and learning at Stanford and beyond. Innovation in teaching and learning comes in many forms and may include experimenting with entirely new pedagogies and technologies or iteratively improving current practices and/or applying existing methods in new contexts.
This year’s applicants are asked to submit preliminary proposals by November 15, 2018. Invited applicants will then submit full proposals by February 1, 2019, which will be evaluated based on the broad categories of innovation, impact, and alignment with department and school goals. Detailed criteria are given below.
The VPTL Innovation Grant Program provides financial support and project assistance drawn from the entire VPTL office, which now includes the Stanford Center for Professional Development (SCPD). Proposals will be judged based on the broad categories of innovation, impact, and alignment with department and school priorities. Detailed criteria are given below.
